Refunds
These rules apply to cover commissions, drop reservations, provenance sittings, and studio viewings at Module Pathcore. They do not describe physical comic subscriptions, merch parcels, or software licences, because we do not sell those.
Eligibility
A refund is available when we have not started the stage you paid for, when we cancel a sitting, or when a drop is withdrawn before minting. Once pencils for your commission have been photographed and sent for approval, the deposit is not returned in full.
Timeframe
Ask within 14 days of a viewing or provenance sitting if you believe the sitting did not take place as booked. For commissions, raise a deposit question before you approve a pencil board. After you approve a board, colour work is underway and refunds become partial at most.
Full refund
Studio viewing fees are refunded in full if we cancel or if you cancel at least 48 hours before the hour. Provenance sitting fees are refunded in full if we have not opened your files. Drop reservation fees are refunded in full if the drop is cancelled by the studio.
Partial refund
If you withdraw a commission after pencils but before inks, we keep the deposit (40%) for board time and return any balance already paid toward colour. If you withdraw after inks, colour fees already quoted are kept; unused minting fees are returned.
Non-refundable
A drop reservation fee is not returned because you changed your mind after the public list opened, unless we failed to hold the number we confirmed. Minting fees are not returned after the edition has been minted. Paper ledgers already posted are not “returned” as cash; we will not ask Royal Mail to reverse a letter.
Process
Write to hello@module-pathcore.world with the cover title, the sitting date, and whether you paid a deposit or a reservation. We confirm what stage the board is at, then state the amount.
Processing time and method
Refunds are made by the same bank transfer or card route you used, within 14 working days of our confirmation. We do not send cash to the studio door.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Viewings can be moved once without fee if you give 48 hours. Provenance sittings can be moved once. Commissions can pause for up to six weeks by agreement; longer pauses may need a new quote because costume continuity notes go cold.
Deposits
The 40% commission deposit books Rhys’s board time. It is applied to the final invoice. It is not a separate product.
No-shows
If you miss a viewing without notice, the £40 is kept. If you miss a provenance sitting, we will offer one rebook; a second miss keeps the fee.
Work already started and materials
Board, ink, and printed proofs used on your cover are studio materials. We do not refund the cost of paper and ink as a separate line. Digital files already issued to you should be deleted if a rare full unwind is agreed before minting; after minting, the numbered files remain yours and fees follow the partial rules above.
